Message from the Symposium Chair
Dear Colleagues,
It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the 2025 SPE OKC Oil and Gas Symposium. Since its inception in 1971 as a production and operations-focused event, this symposium has evolved to encompass a wide range of topics relevant to the energy industry—from Mergers and Acquisitions to Innovation and Technology. Our goal is to deliver cutting-edge proven and emerging technologies that can drive both your career and your company forward.
As an engineer with 18 years of industry experience spanning disciplines like Production, Planning, Reservoir Engineering, and Portfolio and Strategic Management at Devon Energy, an Oklahoma City-based E&P, I am honored to serve as this year’s Chairperson.
On behalf of the Symposium committee, I encourage you to take full advantage of the technical discussions we’ve curated, including Keynote Speakers, two panel discussions, and 12 high-quality technical sessions featuring over 45 presentations. Additionally, the networking opportunities—such as a Sponsor lunch and 2 Exhibition Happy Hours —are designed to foster meaningful connections. This year we will move our technical presentations on the same floor as our exhibition floor, showcasing the latest technologies and services shaping our industry.
After the challenges of canceling the 2021 Symposium due to COVID, then doing it in person in 2023, we are thrilled to host this event in person once again. The opportunity to build face-to-face relationships has always been a cornerstone of this symposium, and we’re excited to bring that experience back. I am confident that you will leave this event with valuable insights and actionable knowledge to apply in your work.
Thank you for joining us, and I hope you find the Symposium both enriching and enjoyable!

Presenting your ideas can rapidly transform into solutions that will help today’s energy professionals solve the critical challenges impacting our industry. The Program Committee would like to encourage our members to be more focused on collaboration between senior professionals and young professionals, and among research institutes, government, service companies, and operators in writing and presenting their papers. Your paper will be published in OnePetro® and may be selected for publication in one of the SPE technical journals. So, please join us in Oklahoma City, in April 2025.
